I'm fast approaching the threshold at which I'll no longer be able to by bras from the brand which has consistently fitted me the best - Bravissimo - their sizing has put me at a considerably-smaller-than-I-was size 28DD/30D, which is the smallest I've ever been measured at.
It seems like such a shame that I'll no longer be able to purchase from this shop because I'm too small - I still have baps ya know!
What I've noticed since the fitting though, is how few shops seem to go down to this low a back size. Most of the retail shops I visited that day seemed to stock styles that only go down to around the 32/34 mark, which rather than making me think that I'm unduly small round the bust, would indicate that there may still be a discrepancy in industry when it comes to bra measurements.
Having said that, thanks to the girls at Bravissimo (Leamington branch) I now know how to ensure that a bra fits me well, regardless of the numbers on the label. Armed with this information, I shall be scouring the shops over the next few weeks to see if I can find the perfect fitting over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder!
